Just a quick update to keep you
all informed of all our news.
Annual
points competition: We won't be holding the points
competition this year .
This is due to lack of response from members.
We would love to know why there is such a low uptake for this
competition?
Let us know how we can improve this and make you want to take part.
Next year we hope to add more shows to the list as we have lost many
shows that are on the old card.
Unfortunately we had to cancel the strawberry tea party due to bad
weather, such a shame as Bethan had worked very hard to arrange
this. Hopefully we can arrange another social later in the year.
Our performance teams were victorious at the
performance show with our teams winning both 1st and 2nd places !
teams consisted of :
Team 1: Gail Butler ,Hannah Northway, Jade Bissmire and Emily
Langford
Team 2:Jade Bissmire,Lara Stevens and Vicky kedward
Well done girls ! Your doing us all proud. Keep up all your great
work !!!
One of our members hanging out with the Queen !!!
King meets Queen !!
Mike King and his section C gelding Menai Leo won the welsh section
C private drive class and then went onto win the Welsh pony
championship at British Driving Society annual show at Smiths Lawn ,
Windsor. He was then presented to Her Majesty The Queen and HRH
Prince Phillip.
Mike also won at Royal Windsor this year too.
I think we may have to call him - His Maj from now on !
Also another Glamorgan victory at Royal Cornwall
- Ceulan Calon Lan owned by Bethan Hooper and Rhidian Donati & bred
by another member- our very own Dr W ,won the section A championship
and went onto be res supreme and res in the Cuddy Qualifier !
Well done so near yet so far !!! I’m sure it wont be long til we see
one of our members at the Cuddy Final at Horse of the Year Show .
One of our members has qualified for Horse of the
Year Show - Lara Stevens has qualified her ridden “mini
welsh” well her shetland chee - Im sure we all wish her tons of
luck.
Talking of Horse Of The Year Show- Please can
anyone who wants to go on a coach trip to the HOYS, please confirm
number of places you would like with Bethan Hooper 07772236129 .
If we do not enough places we will not run this trip so please let
us know asap !!!
Summer supper - We are hoping to arrange our
annual summer supper, anyone who would like to come please contact

Glamorgan WPCA stand at the international show august
6th & 7th 2011
Im still looking for some old photos articles and interesting stuff
to put on our stand !
Also looking for some nice raffles prices as we hope to hold a
raffle on the stand, the proceeds from the raffles goes towards
association funds !!!
I will also have a folder with “PONIES FOR SALE” on behalf of our
members so if you want to put and A4 advert in the folder please
POST it to me asap.
If anyone would like to help on this stand please let me know !!!!
